Home Sweet Home

September 29th was the first night in our new home. We feel so incredibly blessed to be in this little, green, 1960's house. We love it! We love driving into our own drive way, enjoying the quite, peaceful evenings, and having a nice neighborhood to walk in.

The mower on the left is one we tried to make work from a sale, I was so glad to have a husband who would be content with an old mower! It wasn't going to turn out to be economical in the long run though with needing to replacing parts. I think it just might have been the highlight of home-ownership for my husband, going and picking out our lawnmower. We love our grass!

Our family was such a huge help with the move! Priscilla helped haul lots of boxes one evening, and Tony showed up moving day and brought our washer dryer over...and several boxes of pizzas as well! My mom has been a huge help, I am so selfishly thankful she was free that whole moving of week. We sanded, primed, and painted up a storm. I love the clean inside of my cabinets now! My dad was super dad as always, he is amazing at putting in dishwasher and fixes just about everything, I am so thankful for the way he just offers to do things and I don't even ask. Our siblings all helped in various ways as well, from moving heavy things, to bringing ice cream bars. We are blessed!

We still have the new homeowner glow and love heading to the hardware store. We just enjoy wandering through the aisle and dreaming of new paint and shiny door handles.

Our little home was even the joyous recipient of company. My grandmas and mom came by with soup for us all and took the grand tour.

Welcome to a small picture tour of our home, more to come as the Segars settle in over here.
